This is a Mediterranean style home in the heart of world famous
Playa Hermosa, on the Central Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, or a family vacation,
this home can accommodate. The private residence, completed in 2006, has 2 master bedrooms with queen size beds and 2 baths.
Completely
air-conditioned, the home has a large fully equipped kitchen, a beautifully tiled pool with large terrace, and washer & dryer.
The
location is perfect! Located in an area of Playa Hermosa named ‘Opera Salvaje’, which translated, is wild opera, named so
for the various birds singing in the mornings; it sounds like a wild opera. The area was once a mango orchard and still has
several Mango trees about.
Within walking distance are the world famous waves of Playa Hermosa, whether you're 5
or 50, these waves are some of the most consistent in the world and your surfing vacation is guaranteed to be an adventure.
When
you enter this house you get a close look at the work of local artisans. All of the lighting, door and window hardware, as
well as the ornamental security iron on the windows was designed and forged by local artisans. The woodwork in the house
is 100% cedar, with high arched doorways, and double (French) doors throughout the home.
We found as we were building
the house, there is a sloth who lives in a tree on the property – we call her "the cat". The location of the house is perfect
from which to view the eco system for which Costa Rica is famous. But also for the nearby attractions such as horseback riding,
canopy tours, fishing, surfing. and so on.
Jaco is the nearest town at 5 minutes to the North. In Jaco you’ll find
many fine restaurants, good shopping, grocery stores, American style clinics, and just about anything you could need during
your stay in Costa Rica .
